Launched in 2011, the Lexington Prayer Wall is the newest prayer initiative of the Leadership Foundation. Right now, approximately 100 intercessors from 25 different congregations are seeking the Lord together on a continual basis for our city, our state, and our nation.
Instead of meeting at an actual gathering place, we pray from each of our individual locations. However, we do join together quarterly to worship the Lord and celebrate what He’s doing in our midst. Would you be willing to commit some portion of your time on at least one day per month to praying with us? If so, please email Tommy Green.
Every month The Trumpet details a new focal point to help direct our prayers in a concerted manner, but the basic components of the Wall remain the same. We cry out for repentance in the Church and among the lost, revival in the Body of Christ and beyond, and renewal in every sphere of society. Prayer emphases within the framework of this context have included: restoration of marriages and families, salvation for those not yet in relationship with Jesus, and physical and emotional healing for those afflicted with sickness and disease.
We believe that the Prayer Wall is a foundational stone in a larger work of intercessory prayer and worship that the Lord wants to establish in Lexington. Our hope is that a powerful movement of praying people will emerge in Lexington who relate to one another with greater depth and function together more cohesively.
