Urban Impact came to being in August of 2006 when a group of ministry leaders and businessmen gathered to discuss a “city wide” approach to urban youth ministry.
Until this meeting, many groups served urban children and youth but there was not a collective, strategic approach to serving the whole city. At the meeting, some were inspired to develop a strategy that could integrate the parts of the body that served urban children and youth into a holistic approach. That inspiration was deemed from the Lord and the community of believers started Urban Impact.
Urban Impact seeks to honor that history by continuing to partner with other city youth serving agencies and congregations.
Urban Impact strives to be connected locally to many partners. As a part of Lexington Leadership Foundation, we believe we are much stronger when connected and unified. The following list identifies some of our local partners. We celebrate the work they do to insure children and youth across our region receive love and support.
