Help youth and families grow, succeed and lead



CITY SOUNDS is a fundraiser for Urban Impact, an initiative of the Leadership Lexington Foundation and will be held Friday March 2nd 2018 at the Lyric Theatre in downtown Lexington. Since 2005, Urban Impact has set out to not only make a difference in the lives of urban children and youth in Fayette County, but to empower churches and equip leaders. Through three programs; Read to Succeed, The Academy, and The Woodhill Community Center, we equip urban children, youth and families to Grow, Succeed and Lead within their neighborhoods.


Our Impact:

  • 482 students engaged in after school programming
  • 48 youth involved with in-school mentoring program
  • 587 kids participating in athletic camps
  • 850 kids involved in back-to-school rallies

Choirs are split in middle school and high school ages

CITY SOUNDS is a choir competition, bringing together youth-aged school and church choir groups to sing inspirational and motivational acapella music. A panel of five judges will grade each group and will select a winner in each category. Winners receive $500 cash and other prizes. We need your help to bring this first annual event to life, 100% of the proceeds will benefit Urban Impact.
