Youth Development

Youth Development is the second phase of involvement for students to engage in.  This stage helps children and youth to improve on interpersonal skills, tap into their creativity through arts and music, and receive educational assistance with caring adults that will continue to build into their lives.  Leadership skills are built upon and reinforced so that the students involved will begin to see that they have the capacity to lead and be positive influences to their peers and family members.

One of the Youth Development vehicles of Urban Impact is The Academy.  The link below will carry you to the page with more information.

Check out the video project below that some of our Middle School and High School students worked on under the direction of Jeremy White during a creative arts camp (Live It: Lexington)  July 11-15, held at Broadway Christian Church.

Our goal is to move kids from our outreach programs to youth development and then to discipleship. View a diagram of our funnel approach.
