The Prayer Room began on January 28, 2015, however the roots of the movement can be traced back to the inception of Lexington Leadership Foundation in 1999 when the initial directors determined to make prayer the basis from which all of our ministry endeavors proceed.
Tommy Green leads the effort to convene regular, city wide prayer- incorporating people from every stream of the Body of Christ in Lexington into a unified, consistent voice for seeking the Lord in relationship with one another. When The Prayer Room opened its doors followers of Jesus from over 40 different local congregations came together to celebrate the greatness of God with praise and adoration.

One family from many different streams of the Body of Christ flowing together in love for Him and one another. People from a growing network of multiple congregations enjoy relationship with the Lord on a weekly basis at The Prayer Room.
A culture of lavishing affection upon the heart of Our Father, attending unto Him in the secret place of His Presence. Our primary ministry is unto the Lord - before we answer our call to people, we answer our call to a Person.
Out of our union and communion with the Lord naturally flows our missional representation of Him in the earth. The ministry of prayer & worship fuels the Great Commission to be fulfilled in our generation.
